Branson Attractions

Marvel Cave

Before Branson was filled with live dinner shows, performances, and amusement parks, it was mostly known for Marvel Cave, which is currently located below Silver Dollar City. The cave, originally called Marble Cave due to its limestone walls, eventually received a name change because of its “marvel.”

In the 1800s, geologists and explorers would lower themselves into the caves by ropes, but today, tourists can take a long lit staircase to the main chamber below and marvel at the beautiful cave. There are several Marvel Cave guided tours to choose from.

Silver Dollar City

Opened in 1960, Silver Dollar City became one of the most popular family destinations in the country. You can get to Marvel Cave from inside the park, ride roller coasters and other amusement rides, and enjoy festivals. Silver Dollar City takes on the theme of the old west, where many rides are themed after the wild west.
